1986 Fine Arts degree, Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
Figurative painting that cites in its themes classical and costumbrista motifs, assembling scenographies with sketched figures that weave possible allegories and evoked stories.
Bizarre and sleepy rural scenes, with a hallucinatory slant, that compose semi-forgotten stories with sentimental intensity through the scenery, the figures, the colors and the illuminations. From a distance they are traditional paintings; as we get closer we enter a different world, yet close at the same time, with a welcoming soul.
Revival of the painting as an object and artistic fetish, an intellectual and sensorial construct concentrated in a ritual of presentation and contemplation that prolongs Art.
